I had the pleasure of attending a meeting on Vancouver’s New City Market/Local Food Hub, one that I was honored to attend a few weeks ago. At the end of the workshop they handed out cards for everyone to write in 7 or so words what they hoped the New City Market/Vancouver Food Hub would become.

I totally forgot to drop my comment card off at the end of the day, so meanwhile I thought I would post what I hope it will be someday.
You can tell the ink got smeared a little in my rain wet butt jeans. Boosh.

Similarly, I usually read Seth Godin’s blog to keep on amazing marketing ideals and inspirations, but I’m finding Eric Karjaluoto with his Speak Human clips to be more intimate than reading something flat.

Finally! After missing part of a weekly video chat, and making faces for weeks at Wordpress forums… I have figured out why I was experiencing XML parsing errors that wouldn’t let me post to this blog from my handy dandy iPhone. The answer was in the theme files. I was experiencing error 64, a misplaced XML declaration error, meaning that my <?XML was showing up Im the wrong place.

I tried installing an rss feed fixit plugin, updated Wordpress and Wordpress app to the latest version, and even went line by line through the theme files to remove blank lines. Note: I was using coda to make the changes to php files.

The solution for me was to removed two extra blank lines at the end of my function.php file. This error only showed up in wordpress' editor. So note to future iPhone posters... Edit the php in Wordpress! (not coda or dreamweaver or BBEdit).

If this posts then hooray it is fixed!

My name is Danno. I live in Vancouver, where I eat local immunity-fighting foods, fancy anything fried (like chicken) paired with good pacific northwest ale (homebrew), cook lamb occasionally while hosting casserole potlucks, and follow obamafoodorama’s blog where I read about Sam Kass and his cooking ingenue. Oh yeah, and I gave up on cupcakes back on ‘07, and have been working secretly on the promotion of pies as the new cupcake since. Holy crap, if this list is true, then 2010 is the year I’m accidentally cool.
